Braided compression packings are available in PTFE, Non-Asbestos, Carbon, Graphite, Aramid, and Flax Ramie fibers, Non-Asbestos, Carbon Fiber, and Graphite offering chemical resistance, heat conductivity, thermal stability, corrosion inhibitors, and self-lubricating with low friction for high peripheral speed. PTFE Braided Packings are high flexibility allowing it to conform to stuffing box conditions, less friction equals less wear and less heat generation, better heat transmission for cooler operation, lower shrinkage, providing improved sealing during operation, and less relaxation making for less maintenance and/or repair.
Beldam Style 3500/3020 Tank Lid Packing

Beldam Style 3500/3020 Chemares Tank Lid Packing: Designed primarily for use at sea, where the prevention of water ingress is as equally important as the prevention of spillage. Style 3500/3020 is efficient for use with tank hatches on river-going barges, road, and rail transport. The packing is resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, solvents, chemicals, and edible products, making it suitable for most cargoes. Style 3500/3020 is easy to cut and fit in small section lid recesses, tough, resilient, long-life product, withstands repeated opening and closing cycles, controls emission levels from tanks, protects tank contents from contamination, and withstands arduous cleaning systems.
Style 90 – Style 90G

Style 90 Ramie Flax – Square braided ramie flax paraffin impregnated packing is a medium-hard packing with extremely low frictional characteristics, with rot resistance.
Applications: General service packing for use in marine, cold water, salt water-brine, cold oil, stern tubes, rudder posts, tail shaft liners. Industrial applications include pulp-paper, waste/wastewater, steel, and mining.
Style 90G Graphite Lubricated Ramie Packing – Square braided ramie flax treated packing with a petroleum-based lubricant and graphite is a medium packing with very low frictional characteristics, with rot resistance.
Applications: General service packing for use in marine, cold water, salt water-brine, cold oil, stern tubes, rudder posts, tail shaft liners. Industrial applications where minimal shaft wear and scoring rates are required.
Style 90T – Style 202

Style 90T PTFE Lubricated Ramie Packing – Uniquely square braided flax fibers impregnated throughout with PTFE to seal the fibers, surface treated with a special break-in lubricant, and dry PTFE particles.
Applications: General service packing for use in marine, cold water, salt water-brine, cold oil, stern tubes, rudder posts, tail shaft liners. Industrial applications include pulp-paper, waste/wastewater, steel, and mining.
Style 202 Metallic Packing – Thin layers of alloy lead foil are wrapped, layer over layer around proprietary fiber core to provide added resilience. Treated with high-temperature oil and graphite.
Applications: Suited for water, oil, steam, and used for centrifugal and reciprocating pump shafts, and valves.
Style 325 – Style 399

Style 325NA Synthetic, Graphite Filled – Non-Asbestos interlock braid using carded synthetic yarns thoroughly impregnated with petroleum-based lubricant and graphite.
Applications: General service packing that adapts well to worn or scored shafts, suited for rotary and centrifugal pumps and valves, assuring an excellent seal against steam, brine, oil, and mild acids and alkalies.
Style 399 Flexible Graphite Braided – Made from high purity flexible graphite, expanded and formed into a braided yarn without binders. Benefits of flexible graphite include conformability, heat resistance, chemical inertness, low friction, and self-lubrication.
Applications: Used throughout plants in valves, pumps, expansion joints, mixers, and agitators in a hostile environment of hydrocarbon processing, pulp, paper, and power generation, where sealing is vital.
Style 651 – Style 1200AF

Style 651 Carbon Yarn – Pure carbon yarn, interlock braided, impregnated with lubricants, graphite particles to fill voids, block leakage, and act as a break-in lubricant. Low coefficient of friction tends to wear more evenly than other braided packings. Handles water, steam, boiler feed, and solutions of acids and alkalis.
Applications: High-speed pumps, blowers, dryers, high-temperature valves, and furnace gaskets.
Style 1200AF Non-Asbestos High Temperature – Firm, high density, non-asbestos interlock braided packing, using high-temperature fiberglass, reinforced with Inconel wire, and lubricated with graphite.
Applications: For use with general valves, control valves, rods, expansion joints, steam, most chemicals, mild acids, and alkalies.
Style 2280 – Style 2290 Pure PTFE

Style 2280 Heat Resistant PTFE– Pliable and soft PTFE interlock braid, yet dimensionally stable, having excellent lubricant and running characteristics, reducing friction and the heat created under high shaft speeds.
Applications: Valve stems, expansion joints, rotary and reciprocating shafts, mixers, agitators, and reactors. Suited for high-speed rotary shaft service, and handles most chemicals, solvents, and gases with the exception of molten alkali metals.
Style 2290 Pure PTFE Filament – Firm, dense, and tightly woven packing eliminating large voids. Each filament is thoroughly impregnated with PTFE dispersion before braiding, preventing leaking through the braid structure. Suited for service where no organic materials/lubricants other than PTFE are allowed.
Applications: For service where no organic material other than PTFE is allowed. Designed for valves, expansion joints, reciprocating and rotary shafts handling corrosive chemicals, solvents, and gases, with exception of molten alkali metals.
Style 2500 – Style 2777

Style 2500 PTFE Lubed Synthetic Fiber – Interlock braided synthetic fiber treated with PTFE impregnation lubricated that changes each individual fiber into a reservoir of lubrication for longer packing life.
Applications: For steam, water, acid, chemical, and solvent applications. Excellent for non-staining, non-abrasive, and high speed required in rotary and centrifugal pumps.
Style 2777 PTFE Impregnated Synthetic Fiber – Interlock braid synthetic fibers impregnated with PTFE, that assures thorough lubrication for a longer packing life. This is a high-performance packing suited to applications where graphite impregnation may not be acceptable.
Applications: Handles steam, water, acid, chemical, and solvent, used in chemical plants with reciprocating pumps.
Style 3100A – Style 3300

Style 3100A Spun Aramid Fiber – Spun interlock braid filaments treated individually with PTFE, lubricated with a silicone compound for a quick and easy break-in.
